Applicants should apply for retirement benefits at least 3 months before retiring, and disability payments are for those with severe impairments hindering work or leading to death. Provides emergency home repairs for low to moderate income homeowners who cannot afford such repairs. Types of repairs/modifications include restoring heat in freezing temperatures, fixing leaking roofs, and building wheelchair ramps for physically impaired individuals.
