Eligibility

To qualify, applicants must receive gas or electric service from an eligible utility, have an annual income within NJ Medium Income limits, hold less than $15,000 in liquid assets, and show that their account is at least 45 days past due, has a disconnection notice, or has been disconnected with a minimum balance of $100. A good faith payment of $25 must also be made within 90 days prior to the application date.

Application process

If the household income is at or below LIHEAP/USF guidelines, household must first apply for LIHEAP and USF and receive a determination letter. If denied or approved but still need help they can apply for PAGE. Call, visit website or walk-in to apply for services.

The PAGE energy assistance program benefits homeowners and renters who are NJ residents and are facing a crisis situation that includes a documented notice of overdue payment for gas and/or electric service.
