The program, available in both individual and group formats, covers diverse topics, including the disease process, treatment options, nutrition management, physical activity, medication use, blood glucose monitoring, complication prevention and treatment, goal setting, problem solving, psychosocial adjustment, and, if applicable, preconception care and pregnancy management. Individual sessions span 2 hours, while group classes occur over 2 days, each session lasting 3 hours.
