USF Overview
Offers monthly credits on electric and/or gas bills to reduce ongoing energy costs. Designed for households that spend a significant portion of their income on energy. Helps prevent service interruptions and promotes long-term affordability.
Provides loans, grants, and loan guarantees to help create jobs and support economic development. Also aims to support services such as: housing; health care; first responder services and equipment; and water, electric, and communications infrastructure. Also provides technical assistance to help communities undertake community-empowerment programs and aid rural residents with safe, affordable housing and home repairs.
Serves the immigrant population through client representation and advocacy. Under faculty supervision, they handle cases such as asylum, relief from removal, and protection for victims of human trafficking and other crimes. Students manage all aspects of their cases, including interviewing, legal research, and representing clients at immigration hearings.
Provides long-term skilled nursing care for older adults and individuals with an illness or disability. Provides free psychoeducation and support services for families and friends of individuals with a mental health condition to reduce feelings of isolation, manage crisis situations more effectively, and share available treatments and resources. Services are tailored on an individual basis and include: one-on-one topic-based group support, education on navigating the mental health system, workshops, and safety planning.
