Handles confidential complaints and enforces workplace regulations including fair wages, overtime, family leave (FMLA), government/service contracts, child labor, labor law enforcement

Offers referrals, identifies community resources, help for families toward reaching life goals. Assists with one-on-one support.   

Provides information and access to utility company outage reporting resources for individuals affected by disasters, severe weather events, or other emergencies that have resulted in power outages. Consumers can report electrical service interruptions, check outage status, view estimated restoration times, receive outage alerts, and obtain emergency safety information directly from their utility provider.

Provides partial care and outpatient services to adults with mental health, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders. Services include: medication management; pre-vocational training; and socialization, recreation, coping skills, self-esteem issues, and wellness/recovery through group treatment. Transportation is provided within Essex County.    

Provides free home delivery of books, movies, audiobooks and music CDs to patrons unable to visit the library in person. Committed to providing needed materials and services.  

Delivers nutrition and breastfeeding education, nutritious foods, and enhanced access to regular health care and social services for low and moderate-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as young children with or at risk of nutrition-related health problems. The service actively promotes and supports exclusive breastfeeding, conducts health and nutrition screenings, facilitates referrals to necessary health care and community services, and offers personalized nutrition/health counseling through individual and peer/group sessions. Additionally, the program issues food vouchers containing essential nutrients to supplement deficient or lacking diets. 

Partners with high schools to select students and teach them positive responses to pressures associated with substances, resolve conflict and prevent violence, find alternatives to destructive behavior, reduce the incidence of childhood obesity, and decrease gang influence. These students then mentor elementary/middle students.

Provides housing counseling services that include, advocates for affordable housing policy issues, first time home buyer training and assistance, foreclosure counseling, housing information and referral, housing purchase training (post purchase budgeting and assistance with applications), rental counseling (guide renters on how to approach discussions with their landlords on dealing with their rent situation).

Provides pediatric care from newborn through age 21.

Provides social, educational, and recreational programs for Spanish-speaking senior citizens. Transportation is available by request.    

Provides bilingual students an opportunity to complete college preparatory courses in Spanish while taking concurrent English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Aims to help prepare for successful enrollment at the main campus.

Provides parents information and assistance in finding affordable childcare and supports providers to ensure children thrive. Information regarding providers and financial assistance to obtain childcare services are also provided.

Recruits young people to revitalize public land. Members, young leaders, tackle environmental challenges by working on projects to improve storm water management, clean and green vacant lots, enhance community spaces and parks for Camden's youth. The program serves as a support system, providing encouragement and motivation. After completing the term, members receive intensive transition support for post-secondary education, continuing national service, or securing meaningful work. Aims to impact the lives and career paths of young people in Camden by offering meaningful opportunities.

Provides support and case management along with assistance accessing medical care, mental health or substance treatment, childcare and job training. Temporary financial assistance may be available for transportation to work and childcare. 

Offers support services and short-term emergency assistance for families in times of crisis, when funds are available. Including rent/utility assistance, vouchers for clothing, furniture and other basic needs. Provides referrals to other agencies for additional assistance.

Provides temporary cash assistance and support services to individuals and couples without children. Applicants must meet income guidelines.
