Assists NJ Medicare beneficiaries with health insurance issues and questions. Volunteer counselors offer guidance on benefits, claims, supplement policies, and long-term care insurance. Empowers beneficiaries to make informed decisions.   

Provides barrier-free housing for individuals with disabilities in order to help them live independently as possible. Each apartment is designed for people who use wheelchairs or have other disability-related needs. Also provides assistance with applying for rental subsidies.

Ensures that underserved individuals and families have access to vital resources that support both immediate needs and long-term self-sufficiency.

Delivers nutrition and breastfeeding education, nutritious foods, and enhanced access to regular health care and social services for low and moderate-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as young children with or at risk of nutrition-related health problems. The service actively promotes and supports exclusive breastfeeding, conducts health and nutrition screenings, facilitates referrals to necessary health care and community services, and offers personalized nutrition/health counseling through individual and peer/group sessions. Additionally, the program issues food vouchers containing essential nutrients to supplement deficient or lacking diets. 

Provides free peer-led support groups, education, outreach, and advocacy for individuals living with depression or bipolar disorder in the community.

Provides specialized educational, therapeutic, and developmental services for children ages 3–21 with learning and developmental disabilities. Provides academic, communication, behavioral, social, daily living, and related services based on individual needs.

Provides families who meet criteria and income guidelines temporary cash assistance and support services. Services may include child care payment assistance, transportation services, work-related expenses (limited) and family violence intervention.

Empowers individuals with diabetes through collaborative Diabetes Self-Management Education Classes (DSME) and training, guiding them to modify their behavior and successfully self-manage the disease. Facilitated by licensed health professionals, the course covers evidence-based topics such as the disease process, treatment options, nutrition management, physical activity, medication utilization, blood glucose monitoring, prevention and treatment of acute and chronic complications, goal setting, problem solving, psychosocial adjustment, and preconception care and management during pregnancy if applicable. Classes can be conducted individually or in groups.    

Assists applicants with various benefits including retirement, disability, survivors, SSI, and Medicare. Applicants should apply for retirement benefits at least 3 months before retiring, and disability payments are for those with severe impairments hindering work or leading to death. Eligibility for disability under SSI depends on work history and financial resources. A replacement Social Security card can also be obtained in-office. Check the website for online services.

Provides food packages consisting of fresh food for 6-8 meals to families in the community each week. Ensures that those in need have access to nutritious food, reducing hunger in the community.
