Provides various supportive services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, including supported employment services such as job development, coaching, and long-term follow-along support. Additionally, offers a High School Transition program with vocational assessments, job samplings, work readiness services, and consultations.

Members may earn up to $5,550 educational stipends and a living allowance in return for their commitment and service.

Provides food assistance for individuals in need.

Provides eligible children with a one-time $120 benefit to help families buy groceries during the summer when school meals are unavailable. It is administered by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture in partnership with other state agencies to support food security for low-income households.

Offers a support group for any grandparent(s) raising grandchildren. The group provides transportation, refreshments and childcare for participants.

Provides free or low-cost health care that may help pay for medical bills. This also includes doctor visits and prescriptions for certain low-income individuals or families.

Operates a tip line for reporting suspected gas leaks. Besides investigating and resolving these leaks, NJNG also educates the public on natural gas safety.

Provides a short term emergency shelter with intensive case management services. Open to homeless individuals and families by means of agency and self-referral.

Provides a short-term crisis intervention service for adults experiencing a psychiatric crisis that diverts them from hospital emergency departments and crisis screenings to immediately accessible intervention. Services include short-term counseling, medication treatment and case management, for a duration of up to 30 days. The goal is to help individuals return to pre-crisis functioning.    

Offers support for individuals and families affected by HIV, including referrals for housing, food, legal aid, and transportation

Offers temporary shelter through hotel placement to working families with dependent children who are homeless or at risk of losing their housing. Families are stabilized while they address barriers to independent living. Families who are receiving government assistance (TANF, SSI, SSD, or have a housing voucher) are ineligible.

Offered first-time pregnant moms in Passaic County, NJ through the Nurse-Family Partnership program. Nurse home visitors offer regular support, referrals, education, and networking. From promoting a healthy pregnancy to coaching on child development, the program empowers families to pursue their goals. 

Provides a confidential post-abortion healing program. Services include: counseling referrals, peer support groups, retreats, and faith-based resources for women, men, and siblings affected by abortion. Counseling topics include: grief, anxiety, depression, and other emotional impacts through facilitated support and trained clergy or therapist referrals.
