USF Overview

Offers monthly credits on electric and/or gas bills to reduce ongoing energy costs. Designed for households that spend a significant portion of their income on energy. Helps prevent service interruptions and promotes long-term affordability.

Provides in-home services for older adults and adults with developmental disabilities by recruiting and supervising licensed home health aides who assist the clients and their family/caregivers at home. The program includes direct in-home health services, respite care, companionship, chores, basic non-medical client care, social activities, information and referrals to other Puerto Rican Association for Human Development programs and other community resources.

Provides civil rights advocacy, community education, leadership development, voter engagement, youth initiatives, public policy advocacy, and discrimination complaint assistance.

Provides food assistance to individuals and families in need.

Offers classes to assist clients with developing their financial capability "know-how" -- knowledge, skills and confidence. Aids to make informed decisions regarding the current and future use and management of money.

Offers financial management assistance to individuals who need support in managing their personal financial affairs.

Provide school supplies, Halloween costumes, holiday gifts to children who are food bank clients. Separately funded through donations and fundraisers.    

Investigates allegations of child abuse and neglect and, if necessary, arranges for the child's protection and the family's treatment. Services include: child protection, case management, foster care, adoption, and family supports and services through community providers.

Offers phone support to women who are at risk for perinatal mood disorders or have experienced perinatal loss. Also covers facilitation of community-based support groups for new mothers and mothers that have experienced a perinatal loss; professional and consumer education. 

Provides older adults with comprehensive supportive services in a warm, culturally-friendly setting to combat isolation and promote wellness, independence, and social connections. Services include: daily meals, group outings, recreational activities, case management, and home-delivered hot/cold meals for homebound seniors.

Provides home delivery of library materials to Cape May County Library cardholders who are temporarily or permanently unable to visit the library due to illness, disability, age, injury, or other homebound condition. Offers access to library resources at home.

Provides business-appropriate clothing and career services for women entering or re-entering the workforce. Services are provided at no cost.

Offers a wide array of programs focusing on health education and supportive services, including bereavement support groups, cancer support groups, parent education classes covering various phases of pregnancy and new parenting, and specialized programs like breast feeding support and parent education for grandparents and siblings.   

Provides SNAP enrollment assistance and nutrition education for Salem County residents experiencing food insecurity or needing nutrition benefits. Offers application guidance, eligibility screening, and referrals to food resources and supportive services.

Services include dragonfly program for young adults with special needs, delay the Disease: Exercise program that helps fight the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, project healthy bones for osteoporosis, rainbow fish (special needs aquatics), summer inclusion day camp, water and land exercise for individuals with arthritis.   

Provides a full-day outpatient program with structured support and services for individuals with serious mental health needs. Aims to promote stability, recovery, and improved quality of life.
