NJ 2-1-1 Partnership operates the after-hours hotline for Ocean County. This program responds to crisis, offering assistance to vulnerable adults living in a community setting, who may be the subject of abuse, neglect and/or exploitation. All referrals for people in need of Adult Protective Services are confidential.

Provides structured and supervised intensive outpatient substance abuse programs tailored to the required treatment level. Services include: individual and group counseling, 12-Step meetings, social and recreational activities, educational and vocational support, life skills training, primary health care, perinatal health care, family member support programs, relapse prevention services, and a continuing care program. Also provides supportive services like child care, transportation, and parenting skills development.

Provides emergency shelter for homeless men in Essex County. State & County approved.

Offers respite services for caregivers of consumers, ages 18 and older. Services include: Adult day care, Home health aides, In-service care (temporary nursing home care, up to 21 days).

Provides evidence-based family strengthening programs. Offers parenting education, relationship-building activities, support sessions, and family services for children and parents. Programs available in English and Spanish with childcare and meals provided.

Provides new and gently used clothing to men, women and children. Clara’s Closet is a community-driven effort dedicated to collecting, sorting, and sharing gently worn clothing for individuals who need it most.

Investigates allegations of child abuse and neglect and, if necessary, arranges for the child's protection and the family's treatment. Services include: child protection, case management, foster care, adoption, and family supports and services through community providers.

Assists low- to moderate-income homeowners with up to $24,999 in interest-free aid for rehabilitation. Services cover various needs like heating, electrical, plumbing repairs, structural fixes, lead paint removal, energy efficiency enhancements, and window replacements.  

Provides confidential access to domestic violence information and services, including: crisis intervention, referral, and advocacy.

Assist low-income households in managing energy costs and maintaining safe, affordable utility service through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Universal Service Fund (USF). Payments are typically made directly to the utility company or fuel supplier, ensuring continuity of service .Available to both homeowners and renters who meet income and residency requirements.

Provides food assistance, personal care items, bedding, clothing and shoes, and toys to anyone in need.

Provides assisted living arrangements for older adults in need of short-term and long-term care. Services include: Alzheimer's and memory care, sub-acute rehabilitation, a long-term acute care hospital, and respite care.
