Provides information and access to utility company outage reporting resources for individuals affected by disasters, severe weather events, or other emergencies that have resulted in power outages. Consumers can report electrical service interruptions, check outage status, view estimated restoration times, receive outage alerts, and obtain emergency safety information directly from their utility provider.

Provides evaluation, counseling, and psychiatric services to individuals, couples, and families in individual, family, or group settings. Psychiatric evaluations are available. Medications are prescribed and monitored as needed.

Provides a job readiness and workforce re-entry program, with a focus on displaced homemakers. Services include: job search planning; career assessment; educational advocacy; interview preparation; post-employment support; referrals to additional services; and development assistance for resumes, cover letters, and references.

Nourish.NJ provides barrier-free access to healthy meals and fresh groceries at our locations in both Morristown and Dover. There is no registration, no requirements and no questions asked, just a welcoming environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Our services include daily nutritious meals and free farmers' markets with fresh produce, dairy and protein.

Provides free groceries, basic necessities such as diapers, and occasional hot meals or personal hygiene supplies.

Provides immediate short-term financial assistance to meet the urgent needs of victims affected by natural disasters. Serves those affected by disasters such as: a hurricane, flood, large scale home fires, gas explosion, or mudslide.

Assists custodial parents in locating an absent parent, establishing paternity, obtaining and enforcing court orders for child support payments. Helps with the establishment and enforcement of out-of-state child support orders.  

Provides wraparound support services for recently-incarcerated individuals. Services include: addiction and behavioral health treatment, sober transitional housing, Medicaid registration and healthcare linkage, assistance with Motor Vehicle Commission identification, legal services, mentoring through faith-based and professional networks, and support for training and employment.

Provides shelter services to homeless and runaway youth, mothers, and their children. Services include: basic necessities, health care, education, vocational preparation, drug abuse treatment, legal assistance, recreational programs, mother/child programs, transitional living, street outreach, and aftercare.   

Provides counseling services to help individuals and families struggling with addiction aimed at improving well-being at home, work and in the community.

Accepts donations of cars, trucks, recreational vehicles, and boats on trailers from individuals which are sold at public auction. Proceeds are used to fund other Volunteers of America programs.

Offers a wide range of outpatient services. This may be coordinated by a case manager and may include individual and group counseling, 12-step meetings, social and recreational activities, educational and vocational services, life skills training, primary health care, perinatal health care, program for family members, relapse prevention services, continuing care program and supportive services (such as child care, transportation and parenting skills development).

Serves women who are homemakers, caregivers, widows, divorcees, or those who have become displaced due to separation or spouse deployment and must now enter or return to the job market. Services include career counseling, interest testing, life skills workshops, legal clinics, educational opportunities, employment assistance, resume writing, job search support, computer training groups, and various support and self-help groups.   

Provides an art therapy program designed to create a support system to help both children and parents cope with the life changes precipitated by violence and abuse. Therapy types include: art, play, and dance/movement for children affected by family violence and abuse.

Provides various medical services for veterans in the community. Services include: medical exams, clinic referrals, medication management, mental health and behavioral support, case management, counseling, education, employment assistance, insurance benefit assistance, Veterans Administration (VA) registration, and public affairs and homeless outreach.

Provides free groceries to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity to support household nutrition and stability.

Provides free, confidential services to individuals facing unplanned pregnancy, including pregnancy testing, options counseling, ultrasounds, sexually transmitted infection screening and treatment, and after-abortion counseling. Also offers emotional and peer support.

Provides various recovery services to parents with a substance abuse disorder, and their families. Addresses trauma and substance use by teaching and modeling self-care and coping skills.
