Provides career development, job readiness training, vocational evaluation, job placement, and ongoing employment support for individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment.

Provides community residential housing for individuals with developmental disabilities through group homes. Utilizes a home‑like living environment for skill development, independence, and daily living experience. Also provides 24‑hour staffing and access to nursing and psychological support services to promote safety, stability, and well‑being.

Assists low-income households in managing energy costs and maintaining safe, affordable utility service through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Universal Service Fund (USF).

LIHEAP Overview

Assists with heating and medically necessary cooling costs during designated program periods. Provides regular seasonal benefits and may offer emergency assistance for households facing shut-off or fuel shortages. Payments are typically made directly to the utility company or fuel supplier, ensuring continuity of service.Available to both homeowners and renters who meet income and residency requirements.

USF Overview

Offers monthly credits on electric and/or gas bills to reduce ongoing energy costs. Designed for households that spend a significant portion of their income on energy. Helps prevent service interruptions and promotes long-term affordability.

Provides affordable one-, two-, and three-bedroom rental housing for low- and very-low-income households in East Brunswick. Units are income-restricted and available based on vacancy.

Operate a 24-hour emergency hotline for residents to report no heat, no hot water, and other winter-related housing emergencies.

Offers individuals confidential HIV/AIDS testing and counseling. Available for anyone in the community.

Provides free, hot, nutritious meals in a welcoming community setting for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, operating each year from October through April.

Provides intermittent household cleaning for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities. Cleaning services are provided up to 4 times per year.

Offers comprehensive information on resources for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities, covering food, housing, material goods, transportation, and utilities. Includes services such as: Notary Program: Notarizes simple documents for Salem County residents aged at least 60 or those under 60 with disabilities, with a photo ID requirement. Excludes Power of Attorney, Wills, and similar legal documents.

Assists victims after a sexual assault. SART includes a Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate, a Forensic Nurse certified in sexual assault, and law enforcement investigators trained in responding to victims of sexual assault.  

Facilitates a structured rehabilitation program for individuals with brain injuries, aiming for community independence. Tailored therapy sessions mimic real-life situations, aiding reintegration. Patients can access services up to six hours a day, five days a week. Trained professionals offer educational, vocational, and functional activities.
