Builds and rehabilitates homes for purchase by low-income families, largely using volunteer labor and donated materials. Houses are sold to applicants with a 30-year, no-interest mortgage.

Trained and certified staff members can help individual consumers understand health coverage options, complete eligibility forms, and enroll in a plan through the health insurance marketplace. The NJ FamilyCare Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) is also available to those who qualify.

Services include: psychotherapy, adolescent services, outpatient mental health services, bariatric surgery biopsychosocial evaluations, family resolution programs, comprehensive adolescent programs (Morris County only), substance abuse assessments, forensic services, mental health and risk assessments, Traumatic Loss Coalition for Youth program (Sussex County), school-based counseling services, and school clearance risk assessments. Services are available in-person or via telehealth.

LIHEAP Overview

Assists with heating and medically necessary cooling costs during designated program periods. Provides regular seasonal benefits and may offer emergency assistance for households facing shut-off or fuel shortages. Payments are typically made directly to the utility company or fuel supplier, ensuring continuity of service. Available to both homeowners and renters who meet income and residency requirements.

USF Overview

Offers monthly credits on electric and/or gas bills to reduce ongoing energy costs. Designed for households that spend a significant portion of their income on energy. Helps prevent service interruptions and promotes long-term affordability.

Provides a variety of different services and programs to residents of housing units within New Community network. Including but not limited to transportation, health clinics, workshops, etc. 

Provides free, confidential services to individuals facing unplanned pregnancy, including pregnancy testing, options counseling, ultrasounds, sexually transmitted infection screening and treatment, and after-abortion counseling. Also offers emotional and peer support.

Provides low-income seniors with coupons that can be exchanged for eligible foods (fruits, vegetables, honey, and fresh-cut herbs) at farmers' markets, roadside stands, and community supported agriculture (CSA) programs.  

Provides older adults with activities and social contacts in a congregate setting. Also provides a nutritionally-balanced meal in the afternoon.

Provides emergency food assistance to people in need. 

Provides aquatics programs that teach non-swimming children essential water safety skills and confidence via swim drills, pool rules, and general pool safety awareness.

Provides evidence-based trauma-focused therapy to children/adolescents and their caregivers. Traumas addressed may include, but are not limited to, abuse, exposure to violence, traumatic loss, medical trauma, and bullying. Evidence-based therapy is also provided to children under age 12 years who have exhibited problematic sexual behavior and their caregivers.

Program provides intensive, in-home services to prevent out of home placement of children whose safety is at risk. Services offered include individual, family and group counseling for a minimum of 5 hours per week for approximately 6 months.
