Provide education and training to help adults with autism and developmental disabilities build skills for independent living and community integration

Provides information to parents, the public, and providers about availability of child care services provided through the New Jersey's Child Care Subsidy Program and other programs for which the family may be eligible, information about the different types of providers, and financial assistance to obtain child care services.

Collaborating with school and community leaders, the United Parents Council will share ideas, highlight issues, and participate in the decision-making process for implementing policies that impact education.

Targets families, caregivers and relatives of people in Salem County who have mental illness, with special emphasis on families in crisis. Among the services to be offered in homes, in the community or on-site are: Support, education, explanation, strategies, and information, Family groups, Individual and/or family sessions, Respite care, Referral services/linkages, Psycho-educational programs, Intensive in-home services.

Provides information and resources to senior citizens including food, housing, material goods, transportation, utilities, care management, nutrition, dental, legal, homemaker, transportation services, and community agencies/organizations offering specialized services where available. Health and related services are available for persons 60 years of age and older, and for disabled persons and veterans. 

Provides a 6-month creative therapy curriculum designed for children affected by domestic violence. Types of art therapy includes: art, music and movement, drama, and play.

Provides food assistance for individuals in need.

Responds to those affected by disasters including home fires, hurricanes and flooding. The organization provides emergency assistance to help with needs such as temporary lodging, food, clothing, personal care items, health service and mental health services.

Offers a transitional living facility for homeless and at risk youth who have shown the maturity to maintain apartment-style living with a little less supervision. The goal of ROP is to ease the transition from homelessness to independence, setting them up for success - and breaking the cycle of homelessness - when they move out on their own.   

Provides food assistance to individuals and families in need.

Assists applicants with various benefits including retirement, disability, survivors, SSI, and Medicare. Applicants should apply for retirement benefits at least 3 months before retiring, and disability payments are for those with severe impairments hindering work or leading to death. Eligibility for disability under SSI depends on work history and financial resources. A replacement Social Security card can also be obtained in-office. Check the website for online services.

Offers free transportation to medical, dental and social services appointments. For individuals with HIV/AIDS.   

Responds to situations that involve a serious threat to well-being and physical safety of a juvenile, a serious conflict manifested by disregard for parental authority, or misuse of parental authority. It also intervenes when there is an unauthorized absence by a juvenile for more than 24 hours and/or a pattern of repeated unauthorized absences from school by a juvenile. The unit is able to respond on a 24-hour basis.

Analyzes needs, concerns, problems, and interests of women in Ocean County, and connects them with various services and resources.

Provides mental health and addiction groups and services. Services available for patients, family, and individuals in the community.

Provides a weekday soup kitchen that serves a hot meals to anyone in need in the community. On a first come first serve basis

Hosts an online directory of local chapters that offer supportive services for Vietnam veterans.
