Educates individuals and families about their rights in the NJ Department of Banking and Insurance appeals process. Identifies and explains covered benefits, co-payments, deductibles, co-insurances, and maximum out-of-pocket limits for both in-network and out-of-network providers. Additionally, insurance specialists conduct conference calls with insurance companies as-needed or obtain written consent to inquire on behalf of those they assist.

Provides free, objective, and confidential counseling to Medicare beneficiaries, helping them understand coverage options, benefits, claims, and assistance programs so they can make informed health insurance decisions.
