Open to low income, first time home buyers who have been residents of Monmouth County for at least 1 year. Property being purchased must also be in Monmouth County.

Application process
A referral is required from the bank or mortgage lender which is brokering the sale. Please call or visit website for more information. All applicants must complete a pre-purchase housing counseling course and provide a certificate of completion with the First Time Homebuyer application.
Fees
Interest-free loan, which does not need to be repaid until the house is sold or transferred.

Provides up to $10,000 in a deferred loan to eligible Monmouth County residents to assist with their down payment and/or closing costs for purchasing their first home. Homebuyers must be referred by their mortgage lender, and attend a pre-purchase housing counseling course before applying.
