Eligibility
Open to first-time homebuyers purchasing in in the service area who have not owned a home in the past three years. Exceptions may apply to displaced homemakers and single parents.
Required documents
Requires a completed First-Time Homebuyer application and contact sheet, identification, household and income documentation, two years of federal tax returns, four recent paystubs, six months of bank statements, employment verification, housing and property documents, lender documents, credit authorization, and applicable affidavits and certifications.

Application process
Call or visit the website for information. Requires a referral from the mortgage lender and completion of a pre-purchase housing counseling course.
Fees
Interest-free loan, which does not need to be repaid until the house is sold or transferred.

Provides up to $10,000 in interest-free deferred mortgage assistance to eligible Monmouth County first-time homebuyers for down payments and closing costs. Requires one year of county residency, income eligibility, a signed sales contract, and HUD-certified homebuyer education and counseling.
