Provides federal grants, loans, and work-study funds to students attending college or career school. Services include: informing students and families of aid and programs available to them; accurately disbursing, reconciling, and accounting for federal student aid funds that are delivered to students at colleges and universities; managing repayment from federal loan borrowers; developing FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid); processing student submissions annually; and a helpline that provides free assistance to students, parents, and borrowers with the financial aid process.
