Application process
Walk in for an assessment. Wait time can last the entire day and there is no waiting room available. Clients should be prepared to wait outside. If the client is living with someone, they must present a notarized letter stating that they can no longer reside at their current address.

Provides emergency financial assistance for individuals and families receiving Work First New Jersey (WFNJ), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), General Assistance (GA), or Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Assistance includes, but is not limited to, shelter placement and household furnishings, temporary rental assistance and housing costs, motel vouchers, utility payments such as heat, water, and electric, moving expenses including security deposits and first month’s rent, and rapid rehousing for TANF recipients.
