Eligibility

Individuals in the service are who: are NOT receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), General Assistance (GA), or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), have not received any of the aforementioned benefits for more than 4 consecutive months within the last calendar year; have a household income, including employment, unemployment benefits, social security, or pension; are at imminent risk of homelessness due to short-term issues

Provides financial assistance to county residents who are at risk of homelessness, but are INELIGIBLE for welfare programs. This includes Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), General Assistance (GA), or Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

Does NOT provide emergency financial assistance or hotel stays.

Exists to accommodate the poor and needy of the six southern counties of the Diocese of Camden by offering clients services regardless of race, religion, creed, or ethnic origin. Catholic Charities offers emergency food, assistance with utility bills, counseling, and whatever other services deemed appropriate as a result of clients' request.
