Recruits people of all ages who would like to volunteer their time and talents to assist various county departments and/or programs, and will assist anyone interested in volunteering in general. Volunteer programs includes handyman program, tax assistance program, tutoring program (K-12), and State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP).

Offers to oversee a range of human services; including aging, community development, mental health, youth, juvenile detention, veterans, and volunteer services. The Department of Human Services oversees councils and advisory committees aimed at promoting social well-being, increasing public awareness on mental health, aging, youth services, community development, substance abuse, workforce development, and services for the disabled.
