Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
  • Be a resident of Monmouth County
  • Household gross income within 125% of the poverty guidelines ($30,312 for a family of four)
  • Have documented emergent need
  • Have proof that the assistance will help the family maintain housing or utility service for at least 6 months

Required documents

ID, proof of address, proof of income, shut of notice, copy of current lease additional documents applicable based on services provided.

Assists low-income families in Monmouth County in maintaining permanent housing by providing financial support. Services include assistance with: current month's rent, past-due rent, security deposits, utility (gas, electric, water, oil, propane, and sewer) payments, and shut-off notices. Individuals can combine assistance (i.e. rent and utility) depending on their need. Families may only be eligible for assistance once every 12 months.
