Alzheimer's Adult Day Services Program | NJ Division of Aging Services (DoAS)

Eligibility

Applicants must have a diagnosis, documented by a licensed physician, of Alzheimer's disease or related dementia, be age 18 or older, have daily, basic care and/or supervision by an uncompensated caregiver (spouse, family, friend, etc.) who is age 18 or older. Reside in in the service area, and have documented evidence of eligibility according to income and asset guidelines, must be a New Jersey resident, not currently participating in a Medicaid program (NJ FamilyCare, MLTSS, etc.).

This program provides subsidies, so there may be a co-pay based on income.

Service area

NJ

Provides adult day services persons with Alzheimer's disease or Related Disorders is for people at any stage, as long as they have family or friends who provide daily assistance. This program offers assistance toward attending one of the participating day service centers.

Administers federal and State-funded services and supports and makes it easier for seniors and caregivers to live in the community as long as possible. The program assists with giving them independence, dignity and choice.
