Application process
Please call the Virtua Access Center to schedule an appointment. A physician's referral or an insurance's referral will be required before registering. Those without a referral can receive assistance in obtaining one.
Fees
Service fees apply. Most medical insurances, including Medicaid and Medicare, are accepted. Amount of coverage varies by insurance plan. Patient's co-pays, co-insurance, or annual deductibles may apply as per their insurance provider.

Empowers individuals with diabetes through collaborative Diabetes Self-Management Education Classes (DSME), fostering the acquisition of knowledge and skills to modify behavior and successfully self-manage the disease. Guided by evidence-based standards, the course addresses the unique needs, goals, and life experiences of each participant. Facilitated by licensed health professionals, DSME, available in both individual and group formats, covers diverse topics, including the disease process, treatment options, nutrition management, physical activity, medication use, blood glucose monitoring, acute and chronic complication management, goal setting, problem-solving, psychosocial adjustment, and preconception care during pregnancy.
