Provides low-income children free meals (usually breakfast and/or lunch) during the summer months when school is not in session. Locally, approved sponsors, including school districts, local government agencies, camps or private nonprofit organizations, run SFSP. Sponsors provide free meals to a group of children at a central site such as a school or a community center.
