Eligibility

Open to New Jersey residents who meet the following criteria:
  • Are a United States citizen, at least 17 years of age by the next election date;
  • Have been a resident of New Jersey for 30 days before the election date;
  • And are NOT currently serving a sentence, probation or parole because of a felony conviction

Required documents

A valid NJ Driver's License, a NJ Non-Driver Identification Card, or a Social Security Card

Application process

Visit the website to access services. Some services may require voters to contact their local County Commissioner of Registration/Superintendent of Elections. For voter registration, applicants must register 21 days prior to the next election day. Registered voters can declare their political party affiliation up to and including the Primary Election Day. Voters can only change a political party affiliation 55 days before a Primary Election.
