Eligibility
Applicants must receive gas or electric service from an eligible utility, have an annual income within NJ Medium Income limits, hold less than $15,000 in liquid assets, and show that their account is at least 45 days past due, has a disconnection notice, or has been disconnected with a minimum balance of $100. A good faith payment of $25 must also be made within 90 days prior to the application date.
