Eligibility

Open to adults, ages 18 and over, who are vulnerable to abuse, neglect, or exploitation due to a mental disability or condition that makes it difficult for them to understand what is happening and to make decisions.

Provides thorough assessment for potential at-risk adults who are victims of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and/or unsafe living conditions. Reports/complaints are taken and reviewed over the phone. If deemed appropriate, an experienced social worker will go to the home and evaluate the situation in person within 72 hours.

Addresses the needs of youth, families, disabled and senior citizens. Trained staff are available to provide such services as information and referral, outreach, case management and juvenile/family crisis intervention to eligible individuals.
