Provides information and application assistance for adults interested in becoming an adoptive parent for a child who is placed for adoption by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, DCP&P (formerly DYFS).

Responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect and, if necessary, arranging for the child's protection and the family's treatment. Services include protection, case management, foster care, adoption, and family supports and services through community providers.
