Medicaid | NJ Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services

Eligibility
Open to residents of New Jersey that are U.S. citizens or qualified aliens. Applicants must meet specific standards for financial income and resources. Populations eligible for the service includes:
  • Immigrants (any who arrived after August 22, 1996 are barred)
  • Families with children up to age 18
  • People who are aged, blind or permanently disabled
  • Pregnant women
  • Children the program for five years
