Loans are interest free with no monthly payments and no fees. Payment is due only when the home is sold or the title is changed.
Service area
Bergen County, NJ
Provides interest-free loans to Bergen County homeowners/occupants for necessary repairs/replacements, applicable to single-family homes, two-family homes, and condominiums. Eligible improvements cover a range of exterior and interior upgrades, excluding attics and basements unless related to infrastructure. HIP offers deferred payback loans up to $17,500 for single-family homes and condominium interiors, and up to $25,000 for two-family homes.
