Eligibility
Participants should be low-to moderate-income homeowners or tenants, homeowner/occupant and/or the tenant household’s gross income should not exceed 80% of the Area Median Income in their respective home counties. The property can consist of 1-4 units, built prior to 1978, and must have presence of lead-based paint hazards (program will test for free).

Educates residents about the dangers of lead poisoning, shares information about lead remediation and helps those who believe or may have confirmed lead contamination in their homes. Eligible New Jersey residents can receive cost-free lead testing to determine if lead is present, lead inspection and risk assessment of your home or apartment and remediation of lead-based paint hazards (i.e. painting, cleaning, repairs, etc.).
