Eligibility

Participants should be low-to moderate-income homeowners or tenants, homeowner/occupant and/or the tenant household’s gross income should not exceed 80% of the Area Median Income in their respective home counties. The property can consist of 1-4 units, built prior to 1978, and must have presence of lead-based paint hazards (program will test for free).

Eligible New Jersey residents can receive cost-free lead testing to determine if lead is present, lead inspection and risk assessment of your home or apartment and remediation of lead-based paint hazards (i.e. painting, cleaning, repairs, etc.).
