Advocates on behalf of adults with mental illness by offering support, education, and connections to community-based mental health and social services. Key services include mentoring and companionship for socialization, role modeling, and community support, direct advocacy for linking adults with existing mental health, entitlements, housing, medical, legal, physical, self-help, wellness, educational, and recreational services. Group services for boarding homes and community-based locations, providing support, education, recreation, socialization, and advocacy. Multicultural outreach to underserved populations and advocacy, support, and training for consumers of mental health services serving as advocates on community-based mental health and community boards, committees, and task forces.
