Eligibility
Available to Somerset County residents:
- Individuals who are disabled or over 65 years old who have lost their SSI eligibility due Social Security payment increase or would otherwise be entitled but do not wish to apply
- Elderly and disabled individuals whose income is below the present Federal Poverty Level
- Individuals in need of long-term care in a nursing home may be eligible based upon their income and resources
- Individuals with permanent disabilities who are between age 16 and 65 and are working. Earnings may be as high as 250% of the Federal Poverty Line. Assets up to $20,000.
